We are less than one week away from our fundraising deadline for the Numana Meal Packing Event. The funds we raise as of 11:59 pm, Monday, May 22 will determine how many meals we will be able to pack on June 3. If we have raised enough for 75,000 meals, we will pack 75,000 meals. If we raise enough for 100,000 meals (God willing), we will pack 100,000 meals.
As of this writing we are $2,736 short of our goal of $24,000 which will allow us to pack 80,000 meals for children in Haiti. Another way of looking at it is that we have 9,120 meals to go to reach our goal. Either way you look at it, we still have some work to do and time is running out. Every 30¢ is one more meal for a child in Haiti!
All the meals that will be packed will go to Mission of Hope, Haiti. Mission of Hope already feeds more than 90,000 children in Haiti. The difficult thing is that they have more than 70,000 children on a waiting list. These meals that we will pack will enable them to take children off the waiting list. In other words, this effort will help them make an even bigger difference than what they are already doing.
If you want to volunteer for this event, hurry up! There are just a few spots left to volunteer. Once we reach our maximum number of volunteers, registration will be closed. You can sign up to volunteer at: haitianchildrensministry.org/volunteer. If the volunteer registration is full, you will be able to sign up to receive a notification for our next event.
Speaking of our next event, we are already looking forward to next year. There has been such an outpouring of support for this event that we will be planning a second meal packing event for June 2, 2018. Mark your calendars now to reserve the date.
The Haitian Children’s Ministry is also preparing to host a Mission Trip to Haiti on March 3-10, 2018. If you are interested in joining us on our next mission trip, send us an email. We will have more details to follow.
So after today, we have five days left to go! Thank you for your support in helping make this happen.
